Federal Road Agency is an authorized competent body in the field of roads and vehicles, which exercises the obligations arising from the international treaties signed by the Russian Federation as it pertains to providing the public services and administering public property.

The Russian Highways State Company (Avtodor) was established on the basis of Federal Law No.145-FZ.
The mission of the Avtodor State Company is to form and develop Russia’s national high speed highway network, rebuild existing roads and develop highway infrastructure and highway services.

GLONASS JSC

GLONASS JSC is an operator of the State system for emergency response ERA-GLONASS from January 1, 2016.

Branches of activities:

  • creation and development of innovative state, industry-based and commercial navigation and information systems on the basis of the unique state technological platform
  • provision of navigation services of high accuracy and reliability to state and commercial customers 
  • cooperation with the participants of the navigation market, hard and software developers, communication companies and scientific institutions, creation of joint ventures and carrying out R&D aimed at use of the State Automated Information System ERA-GLONASS infrastructure
  • provision of additional services based on the infrastructure of the State Automated Information System ERA-GLONASS, including “smart insurance”, intelligent transport systems, systems of road navigation, alarm tracking systems, toll systems, and also services to provide safety of navigation on inland water-ways
  • development of international cooperation in the filed of navigation and information activities, implementation of navigation and information projects abroad

Association of designers, manufactures and users of equipment and applications based on Global Navigation Satellite systems, GLONASS/GNSS – Forum was established in October 2007 in pursuance comprehensive plan of actions for the forced development of GLONASS in interests of national safety, social and economic, scientific and commercial purposes.

The Association is a non-governmental non-profit organization, was found by legal entities by voluntary consolidation for coordination of its activity and target achievement providing of Association Regulations, also for presentation and protection of its interests.
